2) Side leg raises

An exercise meant to work the entire side of the torso.
The subject lays on his/her side on the floor, supporting the torso on one elbow. Hips locked motionless he/she raises the upper leg keeping it straight through the motion then lowers it back up, but doesn’t let it touch the floor.
The exercise is done alternatively for both sides.
