2) Calf raises on a leg press machine

This exercise aims for complete calf development.
Laying on his/or back under the vertical leg press machine the subject only puts his/her toes onto the support leaving the heels unsupported. He/she straightens his/her legs until they almost lock, then pushes the weight up using only the calves as high as he she can. Pausing and flexing for a second he/she then lowers the weight back letting the calves extend as much as possible.
Extra considerations:
- use safety precautions in case your toes slip off the support.
- go for the longest possible range of motion.
