There is a widespread belief that there’s a fixed limit to what the body can digest when it comes to eating. I even heard an analogy that likened the digestive system to a housewife who goes shopping. If she has but little money available she’s likely to buy only what’s absolutely necessary and use the limited resources to the full effect. If she has loads of cash on hand, she’s likely to buy all sorts of snacks, most of which will end up feeding the garbage bin.
Though there is certainly some degree of truth in the matter, it is also a fact that portioning the plethora of nutrients into many small meals during the day seems like the best way to pump a lot into the body without losses.
Early humans spent their days foraging for food and ate as they came across it, pretty much all day long. Quite the same way, I like to say that bodybuilders should eat once a day: all day long that is.
Seriously though, you should eat smaller meals about 5 times a day. Not only is this the most efficient way to provide the body its needed nutrients, but you will never feel hungry and the body wont need to store away nutrients as fat.
