6) Machine presses

Machine presses aim for the side and frontal deltoids as well. They’re quite similar to military presses, but since the bar is sliding on some sort of rails or has a pulley-system the weight is no longer a free one. This will allow for a much more controlled movement and will also let the subject lower the weight a lot slower.
Machines can be used not only for the military version of the press but also for behind-the-neck and Front presses.
